The Territory
All work is built in a dedicated shop in Syracuse and installed by the same craftsman who built it. Site visits, design consultations, and installations happen throughout Central New York — the greater Onondaga County area and surrounding communities within roughly 45 minutes of Syracuse.
If you're not sure whether you're in range, send an inquiry. I'll tell you honestly whether the logistics work. Unusual locations can sometimes be accommodated — it depends on project scope and timing.
CNY Communities Served
Home base. Syracuse's older neighborhoods — Strathmore, Sedgwick, the Westcott — are full of homes with plaster walls, narrow alcoves, and ceiling heights that standard cabinetry was never built for. Custom built-ins here often start as an answer to a room that's been awkward since the house was built.
Fayetteville has some of CNY's most considered residential architecture — a lot of mid-century and early-20th-century homes where original millwork still sets the standard for the room. Built-ins here are usually designed to match existing trim profiles, crown details, and stain tones, not compete with them.
Camillus runs the full mix — older homes off Genesee Street, newer construction in the Township Heights and Sherbrook neighborhoods. The common project here is a pantry build or a mudroom system that adds real, daily-use storage to a kitchen or back entry that was never designed with enough of either.
Liverpool's neighborhoods near Onondaga Lake Park lean toward family homes with growing storage demands — bikes, sports gear, lake-day equipment. Mudroom builds with lockers, bench seating, and lift-lid storage are a frequent fit here, along with pantry cabinetry in homes where the original kitchen layout left no usable storage wall.
Manlius shares the eastern-suburb feel of Fayetteville — established homes, real architectural character, owners who tend to invest in details. Library walls, window seats, and inset-door pantry builds are common project types in homes where the goal is preservation, not replacement.
North of Syracuse along Route 11, Cicero is mostly newer construction — homes built with open floor plans but rarely with enough purpose-built storage. Mudroom systems, home office built-ins, and laundry room cabinetry are the common asks. The work is about adding architectural substance to rooms that started out a little generic.
DeWitt sits across some of the most established neighborhoods in the eastern Syracuse area — Erwin Park, Lyndon, Lyndon Hill. The classic DeWitt commission is a pantry or library wall built into a 1940s–1960s home where the original carpentry is still on the walls and the new piece needs to look like it always belonged.
Baldwinsville's village core has historic homes near the Seneca River; the outer neighborhoods are newer development. Either way, the common work is a built-in that solves a real storage problem — pantry walls in tight kitchens, mudroom lockers for active families, home office cabinetry in rooms that were never designed for it.
Skaneateles homeowners tend toward higher-specification work — inset doors, furniture-grade finishes, period-appropriate details. Lakefront homes often need built-ins designed for seasonal-use cycles: storage that holds up to humidity, hardware that takes weekend traffic, finishes that read as quiet and refined.
Auburn is the edge of the regular service area — about 30 minutes from Syracuse, but worth the drive for the right project. The historic housing stock here, particularly in the Genesee–Owasco area, frequently calls for built-ins designed to match 19th-century trim and millwork that you can't buy off any shelf.
Cazenovia has a strong tradition of well-maintained older homes — village homes near the lake, farmhouse properties on the outskirts. The right built-in in a Cazenovia home almost always reads as original to the structure: scribed to imperfect walls, painted to match existing trim, built to look like it predates the renovation.
Marcellus runs through older village homes and newer construction further out toward Otisco. Pantry builds and mudroom systems are the common asks here — practical storage for active households, designed to make a working kitchen or entryway function the way it should have from day one.
Solvay's housing stock is largely early-20th-century — compact kitchens, narrow stairwells, original wood trim that's worth preserving. Built-ins in Solvay homes tend toward smaller-footprint, high-impact pieces: a pantry tower built into an unused corner, a window seat in a bay nobody knew what to do with, a built-in bookshelf wall in a small den.
Jamesville sits south of Syracuse along Route 173, with a mix of older homes near the village and newer construction toward Pompey. Built-ins here frequently respond to the architectural details these homes already have — high ceilings, real trim, rooms with proportions that justify a piece designed specifically for them.
Lafayette is rural CNY at its best — older farmhouses, post-and-beam structures, country homes with character built in. Built-ins for these homes tend to favor stained hardwood over painted finishes, with construction approaches that match the existing carpentry of the house. The right Lafayette commission feels like furniture-grade work, not casework.
Tully is the southern edge of the regular service area — about 30 minutes south of Syracuse off I-81. Worth the drive for older homes with original details worth respecting, or newer construction where the owner wants a built-in that does more than fill a wall. Project types here run the full range: pantries, libraries, mudrooms, home office walls.
